March Denver Events
Winter is nearing its end and another wonderful Colorado Spring is quickly approaching. There is always plenty of adventure to be found in and around the Denver metro area, but in Spring and Summer, things really start to pick up. Let’s take a look at some upcoming Denver events in the metro area this month.
March 6th: Colfax Art Crawl & Street Party
40 West Arts, a state-certified creative district located along historic West Colfax Avenue in Northeast Lakewood, CO invites the public to a New Orleans style street party on First Friday March 6, 2020 from 6-9p! THERE WILL ALSO BE: – a troupe of wandering musicians roaming the district – live artist demos stationed throughout the district – palm readers – face painters – Mardi Gras beads (of course) – 2 NOLA inspired food trucks We encourage attendees to wear their own necklaces, masks, feathers and more to add to the vibe!
March 7th & 8th: Rocky Mountain STEAM Fest 2020
Over 100 indoor, hands-on activities, this event has something for everyone no matter how young or old, tall or small, nerdy or not! This WOW-filled, two-day indoor festival is focused on Science and Arts activities. Planned events include:
- Drones
- Combat Robots
- Oooey, Gooey experiments
- Burning and Exploding things (not kidding!)
- High Tech and fine arts (and everything in between)
- Making and building, learning and so much fun
- Food trucks, great beer and awesome spirits
- Over 100 hands-on STEAM activities
March 12th: CHANGIN’ OF THE SIGN
Each year the City of Denver paints a green stripe down Blake street in honor of St. Patrick’s Day on the Thursday prior to the parade (depending on weather)! Good old Blake Street becomes Tooley Street for a short time. We have a short ceremony as we honor this event called ‘the changing of the sign’.
March 14th: ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
Join one of Colorado’s largest celebrations in Downtown Denver. Celebrate community and culture with family and friends, because everybody can be a little Irish for the parade!
March 14th: Olde Town Arvada’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival
The Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District is thrilled to bring the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival back to the historic streets of Olde Town Arvada. Join us for live music, craft vendors, tons of street eats, family fun and of course plenty of libations from Arvada’s favorite breweries, wineries and distilleries.Live music and street entertainment.
March 14th-15th: The 43rd Annual Tri-State Auto Exhibition
The Sabers of Denver members have been participating and promoting motorsports since 1956. Then in 1958 they started the Tri-State Auto Exhibition and later in 1972 they began the Tri-State Swap Meet. Both have been a huge success in Denver as well as a tradition for 61 years.
March 15th: Runnin’ of the Green
Runnin’ of the Green (ROTG) is a family oriented 7K and 2 Mile race/walk that is centered around the Irish celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day and Spring. We take our Irish fun seriously, after all, there is a good ole’ reason we have been voted the best race post party!Fun festivities include: ~LoDo Runnin’ of the Green Festival/Expo ~Live Irish Music ~Irish Dancers ~Beer Garden ~Colorado Youth Pipe Band
March 20th-22nd: 46th Annual Denver March Powwow
Witness the pageantry and beauty of tribal dances as performed by over 1,500 American Indian Dancers. Inspired by time-honored songs, performed by 35+ drum groups. These gifted dancers perform the historical dances of their tribal ancestors.
March 20th-22nd: Denver Home Show
